Tapered roller bearing

Taper roller bearing consists of conical inner ring and outer ring raceway and conical roller. This design is used to bear joint load, radial load and axial load at the same time. Bearing raceway projection line meets bearing axis at one point (Picture 1) to provide the real rolling and low friction. Tapered roller bearing axial load capacity increases with the increase of contact Angle (alpha). Angle size is calculated by coefficient e († products table) : the higher  e value is, the greater the contact Angle is. Single row taper roller bearings are generally adjusted by the second Tapered roller bearings.
Single row tapered roller bearings are separated type, namely the inner ring with roller and holder (cone inner ring) can be installed separately from the outer ring (cone outer ring).
The factors influencing JAJ bearing performance and service life including but not limited to the following:

The roller end/flange contact area
The roller end and the geometric shapes and surface finish of the contact area between flange and the roller end are optimized to promote and maintain the lubricant oil film formation, which reducing the friction and the heat generated by the bearing and the flange wear and tear. Bearing can better maintain the pre-load and run at a relatively low noise level.

Raceway shape
in order to increase the service life under the condition of misalignment and heavy load , JAJ tapered roller bearings have a coronary  raceway or log shape to prevent the stress peak on roller. Design, in the shape of a log, is used to optimize the load distribution of roller.
Roller shape consistency and size
JAJ tapered roller bearings roller tolerance is very small, so they are almost identical. These tiny tolerance and the precision of the raceway shape, provides an ideal roller load distribution, in order to reduce the noise and vibration level, and set up of pre-load more accurately.

Running-in
Tapered roller bearings usually have a running-in period. During running-in period, the conventional design of tapered roller bearings will wear and tear after bear a large number of frictions, it can be written as a temperature peak. For existing JAJ tapered roller bearing design, if bearing installation and lubrication correct, the friction, wear and friction heat are greatly reduced.
